Being part of a community makes all the difference

We are social animals and work so much better in groups where we can share ideas, inspire and motivate each other.

Pre-pandemic, we ran our training courses over a day. It was great fun, full on and at times overwhelming. The content was so rich, there was so much to take in and experience, but everyone LOVED the vibe of the group and went away filled with energy and inspiration.

We then moved our courses online and wanted to make sure we gave even more content. Everyone loves the on-demand element of the training where you can fit it around life and take time taking it all in.

But then in June, something happened…

I woke up in the middle of the night one day and thought ‘why don’t we do a trial online group training. We add extra zooms and a WhatsApp and everyone can feel even more supported.’

It was only meant to be a one off but as it went SO well, I think it has to continue.

Here are some comments from our lovely summer cohorters.

‘I decided to sign up and it felt like my calling. It brings me immence joy, a sense of purpose and truly meaningful experiences. I absolutely enjoy the cohort training which connects people from around the world to share experiences and motivate each other. I never thought I could do a Zoom session at 5am but here I am (in Australia) rising with excitment every time! Marneta boosts my energy and fills me with positive vibes and enthusiams. Marneta has had an incredible impact on me both personally and professionally. Her authencity, depth, beautiful nature and inspiring presence are truly empowering.’ Dana

‘Training in a cohort has given me the motivation to start my Relax Kids training rather than keep putting it off for another day, another year! Connecting with like minds and sharing inspirations and insights with each other is worth its weight in gold. The cohort structure really helps build momentum towards a thriving business’ Jenny

‘I’ve really enjoyed training in a cohort as it’s great to connect with like minded individuals, share ideas and know that we’re in it together’ – Dave

‘Really love being part of the cohort as it gives me confidence and motivation.  It’s so lovely to talk to people who share your passion and vision.  I have been thinking about it for a few years but not acting on it.  I’m better if I have deadlines, so the date of the cohort gave me the push that I needed.  Also Marenta is so inspiring and gives you belief in yourself.’ Emma

Fun summer holiday activities that cost nothing

It’s the summer holiday and many parents will be looking for things to do with children that are enjoyable and save money.

Here are a few ideas to keep you busy.

Find old newspapers and papers lying around the house (check they’re not important) and have a mad tearing session. You could see how tiny they can rip the pieces and use them to make something out of papier-mâché mache or make paper with it.

Have a book reading rainy day and read all the books you have in the house. Let children’s imagination go free.

Choose one word or topic and make a plan to learn everything you can about that topic.

Make a creative video and send it to family members.

Go in the garden and try some forest bathing exercises such as cloud watching and grounding and noticing small things.

Let everyone choose one colour and dress head to toe in that colour and have a colour party.  Remember to take pics.

Create a giant structure out of card.

Create self portraits of each other. Don’t let anyone see it until the end.

Write letters to all the extended members of your family.

Bake bread or make salt dough and see who can make the most hilarious shape.

Go for a walk or go in the garden and learn about all the plants and trees you see. Go home and draw one that you have studied in depth.

Try bird watching and make a note of all the types of birds and use the Merlin app To identify the bird song.

Redesign a new family space together.

Create a chill out zone and have a relaxation session.

Make tents indoors or outdoors with bedsheets. Have picnic lunches in the tent?

If you need some relaxing exercises to try out in the your den or chill out zone, here is our free pack.

Please pass this on to a parent who might find it useful
