December Featured Coach

๐Ÿ’œ Congratulations Dana Bosheh ๐Ÿ’œ

“Emerging from a dark and isolating space after going through a very challenging year with postnatal depression, I experienced first hand the power of the mind in healing. My mission is to remind others that they hold the strength to take charge of their own mental wellbeing.

I had actually followed Relax Kids on Facebook many years ago but never really looked into it deeply. After that mentally challenging year, I was searching for something meaningful just like when I used to work with children, educators, school principals and parents, that gives me a strong sense of purpose, joy, fulfilling and connection. Being well known in the community and made a real impact. Thatโ€™s when Relax Kids popped up again, I felt an instant connection when I spoke to Marneta, it felt like a calling.

The idea of helping children build emotional resilience, self-awareness, and confidence through play, mindfulness, and relaxation truly resonated with me. I knew I wanted to be part of something that makes such a positive difference in young lives.

I wish I had started this journey many years ago because it has brought so much positivity and healing not just for me, but for the children I now work with.

Iโ€™ve just begun my journey as a Relax Kids coach and I am excited to start offering sessions in the community. To start, Iโ€™ll be running weekly classes, with plans to grow as more children and families experience the positive impact. Iโ€™ve also offered to volunteer at Westmead Childrenโ€™s Hospital, as Iโ€™m deeply passionate about supporting emotional wellbeing and building resilience in young people especially those going through challenging times. Through Relax Kids and Just Relax sessions, my aim is to support both children and their families in a meaningful and lasting way.

Even in the early stages, Iโ€™ve noticed children becoming more settled, calm, and open. They start to express themselves more confidently and show increased self-awareness. You can see the shift in their energy, they walk away feeling lighter and more in control of their emotions. They enjoy learning powerful skills in a fun and creative way.

Relax Kids classes are a beautiful blend of fun and calm. Offering a safe, nurturing space for children to be themselves while learning vital life skills like self-regulation, mindfulness, and the power of positive mindset. The structure of the class from movement to meditation supports the whole child: body, heart and mind.

Seeing the smiles is the best part of my job. Watching children come alive with joy, peace, and confidence and knowing that Iโ€™m playing a part in that journey is incredibly fulfilling. Itโ€™s not just a job; itโ€™s a purpose.

Itโ€™s incredible how something as simple as mindful breathing and being present can truly empower a child. Relax Kids is more than just a fun class the children enjoy, itโ€™s a lifelong gift weโ€™re giving to their future selves.

โ€œThe children were very engaged and participated in all the steps. They were very understanding of some of the topics spoken by Dana and responded well. Dana kept the children engaged, and worked well with them especially and more specifically with engaging children with additional needs. The children really enjoyed all the activities and exercisesโ€ย  – Educator children ages 3-5

Full Moon in Gemini: Embrace Curiosity

The full moon is often linked to heightened emotions and altered sleep patterns. Children often struggle with sleep and emotions can be heightened.

Despite the negative affects on our sleep and emotional sensitivities, the full moon does give us an opportunity for introspection and self-care.

You can ponder the questions, or even journal or create some art around them. Some people have a moon journal and use the questions to help them focus on their goals and dreams.

The Full Moon in Gemini on December 4th encourages us to embrace curiosity, communication, and intellectual exploration. It’s a time to connect with others, share ideas, and expand our knowledge.

Here are some questions to ponder before we get into the busy Christmas season.

What new ideas and perspectives am I eager to explore?

How can I improve my communication skills and deepen my connections with others?

What intellectual pursuits can I engage in to broaden my horizons?

I hope you can make a few minutes to think about these questions which will help you make the most out of the Full Moon.

Happy Full Moon
