Teaching children to press their own buttons

In this modern day, children are so adept at pressing keyboards and buttons on technology and I wanted to come up with a way to help them use the pressure points on their own body to get the best wellbeing results.

I had the idea wrote this book 3 years ago after being on a wellbeing and self-care retreat in Spain. On the return flight, I saw the pilot flicking and pressing all the plane switches and it made me think about all the pressure points in our bodies. 

I started scribbling straight away and the book Press Here – pressure points for instant self-care was created.

In our Relax Kids classes we show children how amazing their bodies and minds are and how interconnected they are. This book is a fun way to help children take control of their physical and emotional wellbeing and see the connection between the two. 

There are 35 buttons or energy points in the book and each one has a different purpose. Each of the points can support children with their sleep, anxiety, tension-release, energy, confidence and courage.

There is an energy button for every situation. There is one to help them feel calm, another to help them feel happy and another to help get you out of bed and feel motivated. Learning where your energy buttons are and which ones to press to build ore reduce energy will help you feel more balanced and healthy.

Pressing their energy buttons can help you have a clear mind, regulate your emotions, manage situations, boost your immune system and recharge your mental and physical energy.
