Since leaving University in 1991, I have been self-employed and so I know what it is like to run your own business. My first business was a successful children’s entertainment business. Many of the ideas for Relax Kids came from this and I learnt all the skills I needed to not only know what children need but also understand what is needed to run a successful business.
I know what it is like to take the plunge into the unknown as I did that 20 years ago. I remember those fear filled moments as I leaped from my successful and enjoyable children’s entertaining business to starting up a record label, classes and training company with no experience of this industry.
I remember selling my first CD online and attending my first exhibition with a suitcase full of products. And I remember going on to book my first part-time employee, growing my contact list, taking bigger orders and working with more and more schools.
Those transition stages from start up to eventually running a successful franchise company that is one of the leading brands in the industry and helping change the world in my own way were both scary and thrilling. My only wish was that I’d have someone to help me make them seamless, so I could have made less frustrating and costly mistakes, reached my goals faster and made even more impact and profit!
That’s why I want to help you today.
