Worry Dolls are used by children in Guatemala. They talk to the dolls about their worries, keep the dolls under the pillow when they sleep and when they wake up the dolls take away their problems and worries.
Make your own Worry Doll
- Find an old fashioned wooden clothes peg or a lolly stick. You could even use a small garden stick.
- Draw a face on one side.
- Place a small stick across the clothes peg and glue it on to make the doll’s arms.
- Wrap some wool or embroidery cotton around the dolls arms, doing one and then the other.
