10 Things You Need to Know Before You Train to be a Relax Kids Coach

Are you hoping to become a Relax Kids coach this year?

As a training company, we understand the joy that training and setting up a new business can be for and we are excited that you are taking your next steps in your Relax Kids journey.

But what are some of the problems that you need to consider before you train?

What do Relax Kids coaches wish they were aware of ahead of time?

In this article, we’ll review 10 things that people wish they knew before they trained and set up their business to help you decide if it’s the right choice for you and your family.

Let’s dive in.

The Relax Kids (ChargeUp/Baby Mindful) training is online and many do miss the joy and excitement of being with others in a group. When we created the online course, we made sure we gave coaches even more value to make up for a lack of in-person training contact. We added 20 coach interviews which gives you a clear idea of what you can do with your training and experienced coaches share how they do the exercises in the manual. Although you may miss the contact with others, you will get more content which will help you as a coach. To give you more interaction, we now run regular online community cohort trainings. You can join together and take benefit from online zooms with our team Marneta and the team.

The online training takes around 8 hours plus 10 hours of coach interviews. It is around average for a course like this although some courses may be longer. Most people will complete within a couple of months (2 weeks to a month is average) although you have 6 months to complete. You can do the training in bite size pieces around your family timetable but if you know you’re busy or taking other courses and may need more time, just send us a message and we can extend your time.

It may not be the cheapest course of its kind on the market and if you are looking for cheaper options, there are plenty on google. We understand if the cost is prohibitive to you.

However, some of our coaches have hesitated taking the training because they felt it was just too good to be true. After the training, they realised they got more than their monies worth and way more in terms of content, options and possibilities.

Once you’ve trained, that is just the start of an exciting (and for some scary) journey. You need to be aware that you are not walking into a fully paid job from day 1. It takes time and energy to build up any successful business. You will have to be prepared to put in some extra hours planning your sessions, approaching customers and building your network. It will be tiring at times and you will build your resilience and develop your creativity and you navigate your new work. It can be hard at times, but so rewarding.

Before you start your classes, you will need to get certified as a Relax Kids coach. This will require you to run 4 (free) trial classes, write case studies and collect testimonials. Once you send these in with your documents (insurance, police check, safeguarding and first aid certificate) you will then be a very proud Relax Kids coach.

Working for yourself, unlike having a job working as part of a team can sometimes feel lonely, but you will have support from a group of passionate and dedicated coaches who have walked the path before you and know exactly what you’re going through. You can share your problems, fears and worries with them and benefit from their creative ideas and incredible experience.

You may be concerned that you haven’t got in depth teaching experience prior to training. Although it is a bonus, you don’t need to be a teacher to succeed as a coach. Some of our most successful coaches have no teaching background, but have developed their own unique style of running classes.

Some worry that they will struggle managing the children in a classroom setting. This can definitely be a learning curve, but you will develop class management skills and techniques as you go. The sense of pride and satisfaction you will feel as you develop both personally and professionally will be immense.

Many coaches ask what the ongoing costs are and if it is a viable business. Once you have a few (optional and inexpensive) props, got your insurance, police check and first aid, the ongoing costs can be kept low. The licence fees are from £20 per month. There is no % of earnings and no extra hidden costs. You will have the option to buy theme packs to support your classes. Many of our coaches are running full time or part time businesses around their family and life style choices and some are earning more than what they earned in their previous jobs.

At Relax Kids, we offer a top quality training that will give you everything you need and more to be a coach in whatever country you are.

If you are considering training with us, you can download our info pack and read more about our training online and read testimonials to get a better idea if you think it is for you.

    Happy exploring!
